Familiar Series (Installations & textiles)

Familiar, “Insatiable demands for nostalgia”. Familiar is an on-going body of work (2008 onwards), which explores the nostalgia of analogue film within the nostalgia of the domestic landscape . The interior of lost relatives’s homes and abandoned care centre’s act as households in transition of ownership but full of human touch through objects and social symbols of recognition. The work has expanded further to include re-appropriated and manipulated found materials and surface pattern designs from these domestic settings, an ever growing series of works, which exist as as wallpapers and textile fabrics of which items are for sale but also showcased within installation based exhibitions.
