Family Tree, Part 1

By  Victoria Hall 2006

Victoria Hall

The work presents a system that is recognised as the family tree. The names and dates have been substituted for photographs and text, which describes the person depicted from comments made by another member of the family. It represents the family's treatment of one another. It is a formula that could be applied to any family. Each generation is hung on a separate line at the same height, when lit a projection falls onto the wall behind to form the traditional layout of the family tree.
