Two projects with the London-based Somali Women’s Group Back To Basics developed with group leader and surface pattern designer Rakhia Ismail, using a collaborative-participatory approach. Farshaxanaka Dumarka (women artists) was commissioned by the Women’s Library. It became part of Françoise Dupré's exhibition autres mers (other seas) solo exhibition at Women's Library in 2011. Woven and printed polythene from market bags, thread and pins. 1m45x1m45x4cm Fujaan was a collaborative French knitting project realised commissioned by Crafts Council England for Knit 2 Together Concepts in Knitting 2005 touring exhibition. Mixed media French knitting, wire, yarn. 2m H X 0m40 Diam.
