By Helen Snell 2012

Helen Snell

Inspired by the tragic irony of the Navy or Army medical, this paper cut is one of a series of works entitled Fighting Fit. These works represent preliminary research pieces in anticipation of a two year residency at the National Museum of the Royal Navy, Portsmouth, starting January 2013 The blank canvas of the young healthy body is examined by the medic in order to be ready to be pock marked, punctured and splintered by missiles.
