Financial Times Series

This is a series of drawings on an issue of the Financial Times which I picked up at Frieze Art Fair in London. I was fascinated by the idea of doing something really simple on the surface of something that contained so much information. the fact that Frieze is an unreal environment only added to the idea. The concept of art as commodity was very much in evidence. Lots of facades and false realities, it felt as though the innocence of the artist, that is someone who just tries to convey an idea, was being lost.
