Floor Piece

Exploring themes of prizes, value, and containment, ‘Floor Piece’ draws from the visuals of an arcade prize counter  with the recurring arcade machine motif, seemingly gold metal, while in fact made from cheap resin questioning ideas of value and facsimile. The angle and positioning of the object feels dropped, forgotten somehow vulnerable, as if a creature trapped in the cage. 
Is the object secured in the cage, waiting to be won or has it been trapped, awaiting a different fate?
