Water is said to be the element most closely reflecting the emotions, and a metaphor for the passing of time. The image explores water's inherent 'otherness'. The image is taken from a body of work developed over the past eight years. They are all made from observations of a small insignificant stretch of water called the Hartshay Brook. This chimerical place is constantly affected by the light, seasons and forces of nature.
