For All the Sparrows at Sea

Acrylic on canvas 84.7 x 74.8 cm This painting commemorates all of the men from the Royal Naval Patrol Service who lost their lives during WW2 and are forever lost at sea. My Grandfather Alexander Jappy is one of these men having lost his life on the 1st December 1943 after the trawler he was serving on was torpedoed.

Men from the main fishing ports of Milford Haven, Fleetwood, Grimsby, Hull and Aberdeen now flocked to the nest.
