Fragile

A wooden box is the container for scores of quails' eggs. A second compartment contains an old vice which holds one quail's egg. The vice is set on a cushion of dark blue velvet, and labels with extracts from a family tree hang alongside. In a third compartment, nestling against dark blue velvet, is one perfect goose egg.
