Furies Three

“Furies Three” continues the series that explores the concepts of both retribution and catharsis and draws on iconography that is influenced by texts from Greek tragedy and on the decoration of both black and red figure Greek vases. The Furies, infernal female deities, goddesses of vengeance and retribution are known for tormenting and punishing those who commit crimes and offend the gods. They are also known as The Erinyes and the Eumenides. Oil and acrylic paint on canvas. Now on improved, stronger and slightly wider stretchers.
