Watercolour on paper, box framed. Painted in obsessive detail during lockdown, in response the felling of scores of ash trees in our valley. Abandoned nests blew about like so much tumbleweed, and eerie funeral pyres - piles of brushwood - mushroomed in the fields all around. Showed in Y Lle Celf, National Eisteddfod 2022 Currently on show at the RWA Open 2022, Bristol. Winner of the £5000 Royal West of England Academy Prize 2022
