Grandfather (Till We Meet Again)

By  Fiona Jappy 2016
Acrylic and ink pencil on canvas In honour of my Grandfather Alexander Jappy, Ty/Skipper, RNR, Avanturine, who was killed through enemy action in WWII when the trawler he was serving on was torpedoed by an E-boat off Beachy Head on the 1st December 1943, and who is forever lost at sea. And also in honour of my dear Grandmother Margaret Helen Jappy for the strength and deep sense of faith she upheld through life.
