Half Moon

Half moon was created specifically for Morgan Lovell's office window (central London), by Art Projects Ltd. It continues Gare's exploration of the holding and with holding of light; drawing on themes of solidity and emptiness. The formation of the threads is based upon tracing a map of the stars. And for this work positioning them within a crescent moon. The result is evocative of a cool soft evening light; in contrast to the busy London streets and office environment.
