Hartshay Brook Watercolours - January

By Lindsey Adams 2006

Lindsey Adams

Daily observations of the brook create a visual diary of light and movement. The colour, light and intensity of the sky modify the appearance of the water, both on and below its surface. The watercolours attempt to interpret the relationship between the surface light and the underworld beneath it. The speed of the water varies, creating calligraphic streams of light on the surface.
