Hartshay Brook Watercolours - Summer

Daily observations of the brook create a visual diary of light and movement. The colour, light and intensity of the sky modify the appearance of the water, both on and below its surface. These paintings concentrate more on the 'underworld' and the way light, or lack of it, creates an ambiguous and mysterious space.
