He sprung almost fully formed from his mother's forehead

The initial layer of thrown river-mud on watercolour paper was executed a few years ago. The work has since then lain dormant, unfinished, waiting for something to happen. On reassessing the work, a narrative was suggested by the formation of the thrown mud. This has been explored using collage.
