Healing the earth, Healing ourselves

By  Ines R. Amado 2024

This is a participatory performance, which starts with an installation, that gives way to a performance and ultimately becomes an interactive installation.

The work I have been focusing on reflects sociopolitical and environmental issues as well as

temporality, interconnection, resilience, traces of history and memory, internal reflections and

external aspects, sustainability in art and being, questioning acts of being fully present,

that can tune in, ground and connect us, to each other and to all that is in our

environment, listening deeply to what surrounds us.

For me installation is an understated way of opening questions to the public, a process of engaging people just by observation. Thus Healing the Earth healing ourselves,  starts with a simple installation, which then becomes a ‘field’ of exploration, of interaction, participation and of performative action.
