In 1980 an older close friend encouraged me to draw and paint in situ items of interest related to the large Victorian wardrobe which stood in her bedroom on the first floor of her large Victorian House when she was away in Cambridge. This study painting in pencil, water colour and wash on paper was one response but was not used in the final large work titled “Her Haunted Wardrobe”.
