Here's Looking at You, Acrylic on Canvas

Here's Looking at You, Acrylic on Canvas

My paintings of cats are informed by the tradition of works of Louis Wain, with distinct features and character.

This artwork was painted in response to Trump's comment about Childless Cat Women addressed at Harris. It resonated with me, because I too am I ‘Childless Woman’ who keeps cats.

There is a tradition depicting of women as witches and evil women with cats, particularly black cats. But there are no witches. There are ‘just women’.
