40cm x 60cm painting,. Take a 40cm by 60cm canvas then paint a lovely red ground on it. Leave it knocking around in the studio for ages because its so nice. Get fed up with how nice it is so cover the lovely red ground with a rather less lovely semi transparent black. Also leave knocking around studio for while. Finally do a perfomative text on it. Sometimes things speak, sometimes they don't. Right now, moving between that speaking and not speaking is where I'm heading.
