House of Solanum

This painting was exhibited in the 165th Royal West of England Academy Open Exhibition 2017 http://www.rwa.org.uk/ A greenhouse at night, lit with a collection of poisonous plants, caged in a house within a house. I'm interested in the healing properties of plants, and love the magic of the darker side of plants, kept captive in cages for fear of the harm they could do.
