Hush You Can Hear a Thistle Open

Balfour Hospital and Peedie Sea Children's Centre commission - Grampian Hospital's Arts Trust (GHAT) The original artworks are now framed and installed in the children's health centre in Orkney and replicas made of polished acrylic are still being installed in the Receiving Rooms (A&E) of the Balfour hospital, Orkney. In accordance with the GHAT brief the artists commissioned two writers, Jen Hadfield and Lesley Glaister, to consult children and NHS staff in order to create poems and text relating to Orkney's natural heritage. Tumim & Prendergast have selected text and used stitch and photography to create these artworks pairings.
