Hybrid (brush)

By Francoise Dupre 2006

FXP

Hybrid was part of a series of artwork where the artists explored the concept of hybridity. Made using everyday domestic objects such a washing up brush and scouring pads ( see Ephemeras installation). Associated with cleaning, Hybrids (brush) is a comment on our culture obsession with cleanliness and dirt. Hybrid (Brush) was exhibited in Somerfield store in Camden as part of the exhibition Mavis Goes Shopping ( 1997)
