Made during a period of moving between London and Shanghai, this film reflects on the uneasy feeling of returning without fully coming home. Memory, dreams and the present begin to overlap, revealing a hometown that has been transformed, a strained relationship with family, and a sense of identity that no longer fits neatly into one place. Through fragments, interruptions and silence, the film brings body and landscape together, asking what remains when both home and the person returning have changed.
