Inside looking out

A grid of twelve paintings made in response to the Bristol/Hannover twinning project; Elsewhere is here: Anderswo ist hier. Each image depicts a window from the inside looking out in Bristol or Hannover and are painted from window images shared with me through social media. Painted on both side of mylar, the shiny surface mirrors that of a phone screen and the paintings themselves are the proportions of my phone screen. The paintings are a response to how we often explore the world through our devices and utilise the random links and connections which can be made through social media.
