Iron Curtain

By  Morwenna Catt 2006

Steve Rayner

Dimensions
240cm x 240cm

I am working on a series of these large textile curtains. The first curtain '200 Rabbits to hide behind' was made in response to the latest war in Iraq. It takes the form of 200 3D stuffed camouflage fabric Rabbits stitched together into an American Quilt style design. This is the second piece in the series. 'Iron curtain' is made up of 200 stuffed red leatherette bears, each with a yellow hammer and sickle design on its stomach.
