Two yellow plastic bags hang suspended form the gallery ceiling, containing a milky white liquid. A string connects the two bags and it is apparent that the liquid is dripping slowly from the middle of the string, it being absorbed through capillary action along the line of the string. The drips slowly fall onto the leaves of an orchid which is placed under the drip. The run off of liquid dripping onto the plant, is absorbed by a blue carpet which sit on the gallery floor. Over the duration of the exhibition the liquid will continue to drip, and a slow crystallisation of the leaves of the plant will become apparent. Over time the plant will become encapsulated by the calcified crystals. A white stain begins to appear on the blue carpet, tracing the act of absorption and mirroring the process happening along the string and on the petals. It is evident the liquid is drawn away from the plant, this is happening through the process of capillary action.
