It's the Way You Tell 'Em

8 minute continuous loop It seems that language can resist our very best efforts to translate thoughts through machines and across boundaries - I think it's got something to do with being human. The title is derived from the catch phrase of deceased comedian Frank Carson. Materials used: 50 original jokes (based on English puns, idioms and malapropisms), 3-D model of artist, Text to Speech software and a translation engine. Installation: Intended to be shown as a continuous loop on dedicated monitor or projection with sound. Production Date 2017
