Journey

Artwork made at the Women and Mud Symposium, Arreciado, Spain. Wisps of fleece wool anchored in balls/lumps of white mud from the land arranged on the ground. Associations include a herd of sheep, migration, clouds, vapour, steam from the land puffing by, trolls, white haired hags, shrunken heads, voodoo, skulls, the bones of the land, magical rituals, strange mushrooms (not shown), the wool at times having spooky shadows and also glow from back light. The work also links to el Arreciado sheep farm and to the gathering of artists in the many Symposia held there.
