No 1 of a series where to create texture to initiate imagery, I have worked from photographs that I took of rock texture in Cornwall. The photographs are photocopied and the image transferred to a sheet of paper by the dye-tranfer method. The indistinct suface that results is worked into with graphite pencil and the image suggested emerges. Here a male figure is enticed and bewildered by images of death.
