Kimono Project: Kimonos made of chromed chain suspended in two forests in Chiba province, Japan. In one forest a single kimono is suspended between trees at a height of 4.5 metres. In the other, three kimonos suspended from trees planted in rows have an aura of ceremony. They refer to the ending of old traditions in Japan, and, through the chain material, to the fact that in Japan women are still subordinated to men.
