A large landmark sculpture, the head built from masonry, the crown, colliery scrap metal, the body a large slag heap, on an abandoned railway line (now a long distance cycle path) near the site of a demolished coal mine. It is the head of King Coal, a famous giant from the recent industrial past, buried up to his neck.
