Landscape Jerusalem

For the final outcome of my residency I created a mixed media textile installation ‘Landscape Jerusalem’, where I used a range of processes and techniques in representing my interpretation and vision on Jerusalem’s conflicting landscape. I began my project by photographing areas around Jerusalem including iconic buildings and key landmarks where I digitally manipulated them to give the idea that there was/is something happening (idea of a continuing religious and territorial divide).
Mixed media: Drawing, collage, digital, photo transfer, oil bar, pastel, charcoal, fabric oil bar, acrylic paint, appliqué, and hand embroidery on grey and white poly-cotton fabric and cream linen fabric
Size: 130 X 80 cm (approx)
Date: 2017
(Installation created from Residency in Jerusalem)
