Last Sitting

Video installation created for the Laing Gallery, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. A tapering staircase rises and disappears into the wall, and upon it is projected a video of a tree trunk and branches in sun and wind, accompanied by birdsong. Visitors were encouraged to sit on specially constructed chairs to look at, and become part of, the installation.
