Leaf Pylon showing at Burghley House

By  Dallas Collins 2003 - 2018
Leaf Pylon is a divergent anomaly; a cast aluminium tower that supports two conical shapes with the imprints of exotic and rare leaf forms inside. It speaks and listens to the natural elements that surround it. From the movement of the trees in the wind to the cosmic background echo that continually radiates through our world, pinpointing our existence in time and space. This was a sculpture inspired by the work of the physic garden in London and was part of a group show called 'Art in The Garden' 2003. The sculpture is now on loan from The Sculpture Park in Surrey to Burghley House Lincolnshire as part of the show 'Otherworldley' 2018
