Let Water Hold You

Water as a body has the potential to hold and care for us, re-setting how our bodies feel, creating micro spaces of rest and respite. These short moments of escape can allow our bodies and minds to be elsewhere, if only for a while. Let water hold you was created through hosting gentle conversations in two contrasting bodies of water. The conversations touched upon rest, tactility, disability, queer and trans bodies, whilst navigating experiencing the waters and their notable differences.  

This piece forms the start of an investigation into water as a body that has the potential to care. Forthcoming work will include live events, and further conversations in water. 

The work can be experienced as a video with sound and subtitles, or as an audio only work with accompanying transcript.
