Life Drawing Session - Friends Institute, Moseley, Birmingham

Saranjit Birdi

This is a series of works from life drawing sessions held every Tuesday at the Friends Institue, Moseley, Birmingham. I became fascinated by the poses, mannerisms, animation and concentration of the other artists engaged in the act of drawing the model. I was also interested in the contrast between the frozen or languid pose of the model compared with the postures and repeated movements of the artists. All drawings are from life and not photographs.
