Disorientated by the overpowering volume of the wind and using limited bursts from the lighthouse lamp to trace the outline of the land, we are stripped of most visual cues. The only means of orientating ourselves becomes dependent on time. And we begin to orientate ourselves, our conciousness through time, 'how long have we been here', as apposed to 'where are we?'.
