Light Lines - Santa Fe, New Mexico

This series of 10 images was produced during my residency at the Santa Fe Art Institute in New Mexico, USA during the winter of 2006. I had been particularly inspired by the contemporary architecture of Ricardo Legorreta and by the way light and apertures were used to define the space and ones experience of it. As resident artists we lived and worked together and as with my previous work 'Tracing Light', I spent a great deal of time observing and recording the ephemeral and transitory qualities of sunlight through the building. I drew, took photographs and video footage. 'Light Lines' is a series of digital photographs printed using pigment inks onto German Etching Paper and also a short video.
