Liminal Space - Part 1

Delighted to have been awarded the Parker Harris Mentoring Prize as part of Wells Art Contemporary Award, with my painting ‘Liminal Space - Part 1’ exhibited in Bishops Palace, Wells in October 2018. I came across this poly-tunnel with the remnants of a recent celebration. I wanted this painting to try and portray some of that joy and melancholy, the essence and echoes left hanging in the atmosphere long after the last guest has left the party… The space between the what's passed and what's yet to come. ??"There are all kinds of silences and each of them means a different thing….Whatever the mood or the circumstance, the essence of its quality may linger in the silence that follows.
