LV21 lightship collage installation

R+B

For the fourth iteration of our evolving collage installation we converted the Captain’s cabin aboard the former Trinity House Lightvessel LV21 which is moored at Gillingham Pier. LV21 is run by Paivi and Gary as a centre for art projects of all sorts. The imagery that we had worked on from the previous installation at the Duchamp Festival in Herne Bay seemed to work very well in the colourful and unusual setting of the ship. Our installation was part of the annual ‘Fuse’ performance festival and was sponsored by Medway Council, Arts Council England and UCA Rochester. Thanks again to Paivi and Gary for their enthusiasm and vision, as well as to Anne Sorensen without whom we would not had been ready in time for the opening.
