Making This Home

By  Lauren Sagar 2010

Sagar and Campbell

Making This Home was commissioned by Bolton At Home and took place on the Johnson Fold Housing Estate in Bolton. Sagar and Campbell were brought in as artists and creative consultants to begin to engage local people in the upcoming development of the estate. The artists created a series of playful interventions into daily life on the estate including a ‘guerilla art’ festival, The Art Tea Party, taking place over one day on the Johnson Fold green. Sagar and Campbell collaborated with other artists bringing them into present their work (such as London-based artist Christina Ottanello and her teapots) and created a series of temporary abstract installations using familiar materials in unfamiliar ways, to draw attention to the green spaces around the estate.
