Here, as in a number of recent works, I have been using river silt that's collected, poured onto paper, and when dry, encapsulated in wax. The living organisms in the mud create random tracks and pathways which are the springboard for the imagery that follows. Nothing is predetermined as the journey to subvert the rational and discover the marvellous submerged in the unconscious begins.
