Minding the Gap

By  Sue Coulson 2010

Dimensions
8min 14sec looped

The line which is at once observed and disregarded, is a threshold or margin, and to cross the line might be viewed as a ‘right of passage.’ The subtlety, lies in the non action, the waiting for something to happen, the slow build and final affirmation when the train emerges, signifying that inevitable slow topple into the next moment, where the telling is always out of step with what it tells. Constantly moving from action to inaction from silence to noisiness, it never stops, and like life it is on going until someone switches it off.
