Imagined construction. IMAGINED CONSTRUCTIONS As an architectural student it was normal for me to design, draw and model a building that I knew would never be built in reality. Later as an architect it also became normal to design, draw and model a building that was intended to be built but never was - for whatever reason. They were all ideas that were intentionally or unintentionally never built. Most ideas for buildings and schemes are never built. Designs for un-built constructions have been produced for hundreds of years, from ink and wash drawings to the computer renders we have today. Fantasy buildings, structures and projects - or imagined constructions - only ever existed in forms other than the real built form.
