Moon Beam (proposal drawing)

This is a proposal drawing for a temporary commission for Newbury Town Trail, which will be realised in June 2005. The site is St Nicolas Church, a place of worship for over 900 years in central Newbury. The installation will be made up of hundreds of blue elastic threads stretched from the ceiling to the church floor. Each thread will be pin pointed with the map of the stars and will cut through the space like a beam of light. Disappearing down into a circle of black acrylic.
