Natural High

By  Lucy Stevens 2021
For this collaborative project, I have produced a pocket-sized risograph printed guide that brings together ornithology and wellbeing. Working with a mindfulness meditation teacher, Emma-Jane Bunn, and birding volunteers to share techniques for birdwatching, recording species, and mindful listening. In this guide, you’ll find tips on where to see and hear birds at Leicester and Leicestershire National Forest sites and how to relieve tension and anxiety via a beautifully illustrated guide that will help to better connect with nature through National Forest sites. This project was awarded the new National Forest arts grant. Read more here. Read about Lucy’s research and artistic process in a blog post here. There will only be 100 risograph printed guides available from Monday 27 September 2021. Pick up your copy from Ashby-de-la-Zouch Library, Measham Library, Coalville Library, or Leicester Central Library.
