Naval service Memorial

13 coloured glass panels reflect pools of light onto a white granite terrace. The colours are taken from the 5 oceans and the outline of the edge of the glass creates the shape of a warship. A sailor, carved in kilkenny limestone faces west, looking across the terrace and over the seas, head bowed in respect of his shipmates. The memorial is situated at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
