In the Summer 2024 I took part in ‘Conjuring Summer’, an event put on at the Mint House, Pevensey, East Sussex around the theme of a Spirit of Sussex and pageantry. I created ‘Noor’ a piece of personal mythology. A benign woodland spirit, the head was decorated with oak and yew branches symbolising the county’s oldest residents: its trees. While the costume reflected 21st century concerns and was made with free found materials on the South Downs.
