Noughts and crosses

By  Julia Rogers 2020
During times of restriction, time alone, I find our minds expand, we start to think beyond the usual parameters. In times of boredom as a child I would reinvent games and play against myself, versions of solitaire but with board games. I would pretend to be someone else, surprise myself at the moves my other self made when I saw the board from a different angle. I would use a different hand and different colours. It struck me that my games were actually quite beautiful and so I have been playing soiltaire with a different focus. This time its about composition rather than who is winning.
